FULL-ARCH IMPLANT RESTORATION · TAKSIM, ISTANBUL
Six implants per jaw. Stronger load distribution, lasting stability, and a fixed result designed to function like natural teeth — without compromise.
Digitally planned and delivered at Citydent Istanbul, Taksim — from 3D assessment to final zirconia prosthesis.
INDICATIONS
Not every full-arch patient reaches the same conclusion. All-on-6 is not the only fixed implant option, and we discuss all alternatives with each patient before recommending a treatment path.
Patients considering All on Six Istanbul for full-arch restoration are typically evaluated against the following clinical criteria:
A 3D CT scan is required before any treatment recommendation. No commitment is made before that evaluation is complete.
Both treatments produce fixed, screw-retained prosthetics. The deciding factors are bone volume, bite load, and long-term functional goals — confirmed through clinical evaluation.
| Feature | All on Six Istanbul | All on Four Istanbul |
|---|---|---|
| Implants per jaw | 6 | 4 |
| Bite force distribution | Higher — six support points | Standard — angled placement compensates |
| Bone requirement | Moderate — mostly straight placement | Lower — angled implants reduce graft need |
| Long-term durability | Greater implant-to-bone contact area | Standard |
| Treatment duration | Slightly longer surgical phase | Faster |
| Ideal for | Strong bite demand, sufficient bone | Limited bone, budget consideration |
STRUCTURAL RATIONALE
The structural logic behind All-on-6 is straightforward: distributing the load of a full arch across six implant points — rather than four — reduces the force each implant bears under function.
This matters most for patients with higher bite forces or parafunctional habits such as bruxism confirmed at assessment, cases where posterior bone availability allows straight implant positioning without significant angulation, and long-term prosthetic stability particularly for monolithic zirconia restorations.
At Citydent, we use CE-certified implant systems — including Straumann, Osstem, and Hiossen — selected based on bone density, patient profile, and planned prosthetic design. The decision between systems is made at the clinical assessment stage, not before.
PROCEDURE
Every All on 6 case at our clinic follows a structured sequence. Deviations from this sequence are documented and explained to the patient before any step is taken.
PROSTHETIC DESIGN
The prosthetic component of this treatment is as clinically significant as the surgical phase. At Citydent, the final restoration is designed, milled, and finished in our in-house dental laboratory.
WHY CITYDENT
Citydent is located in Taksim, central Istanbul — within walking distance of hotels, public transport connections, and the main city infrastructure used by international patients.
RECOVERY & AFTERCARE
Recovery from the surgery follows a predictable pattern in most patients. Individual variation exists and is discussed at the pre-surgical appointment.
Any loosening, discomfort, or change in bite should be reported to the treating dentist without delay.
QUESTIONS
Discomfort during surgery is managed under local anaesthesia. Post-operative swelling and soreness are expected in the first few days and are typically manageable with pain relief as advised by your dentist. Most patients report that the experience is less uncomfortable than anticipated. Cold compress use and soft diet in the first days support a smoother recovery.
In many cases, yes. All on 6 Istanbul candidates with moderate bone loss are evaluated for alternative implant angles or bone grafting where necessary. A 3D CT scan is required to assess bone volume before any recommendation is made. Suitability cannot be confirmed without imaging.
The implant fixtures themselves are designed for long-term function when oral hygiene and clinical follow-up are maintained. The zirconia prosthesis typically lasts ten years or more, depending on bite loading, hygiene, and whether parafunctional habits are present. Components can be serviced or replaced without disturbing the implants.
The primary difference is the number of implants and how load is distributed. All-on-4 dental implants use angled posterior implants to maximise support with fewer fixtures — suitable where bone volume is limited. All-on-6 uses six straight implants for greater load distribution and is typically recommended where posterior bone allows. Both produce fixed, screw-retained prosthetics.
In most cases, yes. A fixed temporary prosthesis is placed within one to three days of surgery. This allows patients to function with teeth during the osseointegration period. Temporary prosthetics are replaced with the final zirconia restoration after healing is confirmed.
The first step is sending a panoramic X-ray or 3D CT scan via our contact page for initial review. A written assessment and treatment outline is provided based on your imaging. No financial commitment is required at this stage.
